Description
Amyl APT Broth is also used for the cultivation of heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria including Lactobacillus sp., Leuconostoc sp. Streptococcus lactis and other organisms requiring a high thiamine concentration. The addition of Bacteriological Agar, Amyl RM 250, to a concentration of 14 grams per litre provides a solid medium for the isolation of these organisms from meats, tinned foods, fruit juices and other food products.
