Description
Amyl Meat Peptone, a nutritious peptone prepared by the enzymic hydrolysis of selected animal protein material, is suitable for the cultivation of a wide range of fastidious organisms. The product is especially useful when used in conjunction with other refined culture media ingredients such as Yeast Extract, RM342. and/or Casein Peptone. Meat Peptone is used in culture media for medical diagnostic purposes as well as in industry and research for the production of vaccines, antibiotics and other biological products.
Amyl Meat Peptone is available as an easily handled spray dried powder, soluble in water producing a clear, tan to brown coloured solution. The product is normally incorporated into microbiological culture media at concentrations between 5 and 20 grams per litre, depending upon the application and other ingredients in the medium.
