Description
Amyl Mycoderm Agar plus Gentamicin, AM 749, is a modification of Amyl Mycoderm Agar, AM 114, to which the broad spectrum antimicrobial substance, gentamicin has been added to level of 20mgm/litre, resulting in a higher level of selectivity for the primary isolation of dermatophytic fungi from human and animal hair, skin scrapings and nails submitted for examination.
Note: This powder contains Cycloheximide, Chloramphenicol and Gentamicin, all substances that may cause toxicity and correct handling procedures to prevent inhalation and skin contact must be observed at all times.
Store the dehydrated medium below 25°C in a dry place away from strong light and use before the expiry date. Tighten cap after each usage.
