CLOSTRIDIUM TYROBUTYRICUM ENRICHMENT MEDIUM

A modified Reinforced Clostridial Medium using lactate as a fermentable carbon source for the enrichment of Clostridium tyrobutyricum spores in milk samples.

Description

Amyl Clostridium tyrobutyricum Enrichment Medium, AM 710, is a modified Reinforced Clostridial Medium, (Amyl AM 156), formulated by Fryer and Halligan, who substituted the glucose used as a fermentable carbohydrate in the RCM with lactate so as to utilise, as a diagnostic feature, the ability of Clostridium tyrobutyricum to ferment lactate and produce large amounts of gas. Amyl Clostridium tyrobutyricum Enrichment Medium, AM710, is available in 100g, 500g containers. Store the medium below 25°C away from strong light and use before expiry date. Tighten cap after each usage.
