Description
The active ingredients in SP 452, Ceftazidime, Polymixin B and Acriflavine, were found to be effective against a wide spectrum of gram negative organisms including Pseudomonas sp., (Ceftazidime and Polymixin B) and many gram positive cocci other than enterococci (Acriflavine). While ceftazidime has limited activity against gram positive organisms, it is a very powerful anti pseudomonad , with MIC values against 90% of strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa of ≤ 8µg/ml3
