Description
Amyl Peptone Agar, AM 146, is a non-isotonic, nutritious, general purpose medium for use in the quantitative estimation of non-fastidious micro-organisms, particularly coliforms and E.coli, in water and food products. The medium is devoid of any carbohydrate substance, both carbon and nitrogen sources being supplied in the peptone mix. Because of it’s lack of isotonicity, Amyl Peptone Agar is not suitable as a blood agar base.
Amyl Peptone Agar, AM 146, is available in 100gm, 500 gm packs and in bulk containers. Store the powdered medium below 25°C in a dry place away from strong light and use before the expiry date. Tighten cap after each usage.
