Amyl Ringers Solution (1/4 Strength) Tablets are formulated according to the specifications required by the British Dept. of Health and Social Security publication, Memo. 139/Foods1.
The tablets are readily soluble in water to provide a precipitate free solution following sterilization by autoclaving.
This solution is used as an isotonic diluent for both bacterial cells and specimens undergoing bacteriological examination, or as a rinsing solution for the bacteriological examination of equipment, plant or apparatus. The solution can also be used as a rinsing or suspending solution for mammalian cells
