SIM MEDIUM

A medium used to differentiate between members of the Enterobacteriaceae on the basis of motility, sulphide production and indole formation.

Description

Amyl Sulphide-Indole-Motility (SIM) medium, AM 778, is recommended as a medium to detect the formation of indole, the production of hydrogen sulphide and motility by members of the Enterobacteriaceae, particularly as an aid in the identification of members of the Genera Salmonella and Shigella.

Amyl SIM Medium, AM 778, is available in 100g, 500g containers and in bulk packs.

Store the medium below 25°C in a dry place away from light and use before expiry date. Tighten cap after each usage.
